After just a few years of building a successful brand of porcelain and glassware, the design studio Wik & Walsøe expands its universe to Include textiles. The series Sør is inspired by the light, southerly wind and the awaited Nordic summer. In addition to Sør, the textile collection will be expanded with the designs of the already well-established series Alv and Alveskog.
Beautiful tableware and glasses deserve a beautiful table setting, says designer Linda Svedal Walsøe. The design studio Wik & Walsøe is therefore proud to open the doors to a whole new chapter in its design universe.
Linda gets her inspiration from Scandinavian nature. This is also the source of inspiration when the design studio Wik & Walsøe releases its first textile collection. The room gets a new expression when it is completed with delicate textiles. Sør blends naturally together with Wik & Walsøe’s collections of glassware and precious porcelain. It fits nicely with the design studio’s latest tableware Osean, the classic Whitewood and the delicate crystal glass series Dugg. The magical elf and the majestic stag adorns the new Alv and Alveskog textiles and completes the look. They look just as good alone as together with the already existing tableware.
The textile collection Sør consist of a kitchen towel and a potholder and for the Alv and Alveskog series, there will also be a placemat. The textiles are made of comfortable linen and cotton qualities. The striped and monochrome, light textiles are delicate in the choice of colour and bears the mark of a detailed and laboriously design process.
