2019 is marking a new chapter for Wik & Walsøe, when we are making our way into Germany and launching our bestselling tableware Julemorgen (Christmas morning) at, among others, KaDeWe in Berlin.
A gathering around a beautifully set table lies at the very heart of Christmas. A peaceful breakfast with those who are nearest and dearest to you. A long, leisurely lunch with friends. The eagerly anticipated Christmas dinner, where the same traditions and procedures as every year are both honoured and upheld, while new traditions almost seamlessly blend in, as is only natural when new generations bring their own stories to the table.
It’s these moments we want to share and be a part of, and we are proud to say that Germany now is a part of our Christmas universe.
With a design that balances beautifully between the subtly modern and the delightfully nostalgic, the table ware series Julemorgen has become a warm and natural presence at the Christmas table. The tableware is characterized by designer Linda Svedal Walsøe´s poetic illustrations, inspired by her own personal photographs, taken on her favourite walks in the coastal region between Norway and Sweden.
When the design studio Wik & Walsøe was launched in 2006, the goal was to establish a new Nordic brand within fine porcelain, inspired by Scandinavian nature and culture. We wanted to create products with lasting sentimental value, products that would resonate with people, and contribute to creating new and happy memories in everyday life and for special occasions.
In Germany, the Julemorgen tableware can be found at:
We are looking forward to celebrating Christmas in Germany and be a part of the German Christmas universe!
